The historic city of Spain – ‘Albacete’

In simple terms, if you love arts and have fascination for beautiful works of architecture and natural beauty then there is alternate place than Albacete. A province of Castile-La Mancha, the city has rich history and tradition of its own. It is also a commercial hub and perhaps the best place for those who are shopping savvy. Some of the important places of visit are briefly introduced here:

Rosario Lodging House:

Also called as Posada del Rosario, this is the present tourist office for the visitors. This building is known for its architecture beauty and it is a rare combination of Gothic, Renaissance and also Mudejarand designs. This suggests that the building has undergone several modifications or reconstruction as and when the new dynasty took over the city. The building located in the central part of the city is surrounded by beautiful garden. Not far away is the traditional home of Albacete called the Casa de los Picos and the other Casona Perona. These houses give an insight into the tradition of the people.

Cathedral of San Juan Bautista:

This building known for its Gothic architecture also has the popular monastery. Called as the Monastery of la Encarnaction, is believed to have been built in the 16th century. The interior of the cathedral is traditionally decorated. This is an immaculately beautiful cathedral. Now, this has become the cultural centre of the city. Normally no visitor misses from visiting this building.

Pasaje de Lodares:

Now this has become the shopping centre; but its traditional look of the building has been retained intact. The building belongs to Renaissance period with glass ceilings and the majestic view of this building emphasizes the architectural importance of the building rent villas in spain. Interestingly this ancient building is the place where traditional works of arts and artifacts and also all other types of products are sold.

Abelardo Sánchez Park: This is one of the historic parks of Abelardo with collection of varieties of trees. Just very near to the park is the famous Albacete museum. The museum is housed in a building built centuries ago. It has pride collection of many works of arts and paintings from some of most renowned artists world over. As a matter of fact, many tourists are of the opinion that this museum is a place which should never be missed. The museum receives highest number of visitors throughout the year.
